Gregg Filandrinos

 

  

began his broadcasting career in radio in Milwaukee at WEMP/WNUW as an Account Executive in 1974.  One year later, Filandrinos launched his television sales career.  He has held sales positions at WVTV-TV, Milwaukee and WTCN-TV, Minneapolis and TV Sales Management positions at KPLR-TV, St. Louis and TeleRep-Minneapolis, the national television representative firm. 

In 1988, Filandrinos joined River City Broadcasting and became their first Vice-President/General Manager at KDNL-TV in St. Louis where he increased the station cash flow from $1 million to $12 million. While at KDNL-TV, Filandrinos launched the stations first news telecast in January 1, 1995.

In 1998 through 2001, Filandrinos grew his knowledge of the ad agency business as the Vice President of New Business Development for Kupper Parker Communications, a marketing and communications firm based in St. Louis. Gregg was responsible for generating new business leads for the company. He also did “Sell-A-Thons” for TV stations around the country for the Media Consulting Division of KPC.

 

In 2001, Filandrinos joined Roberts Broadcasting Company to lead the launch of the new UPN affiliate. As the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Roberts Broadcasting Company, Mr. Filandrinos was responsible for the day to day operations of WRBU-TV-St. Louis and overseeing the operation of all RBC Properties that included WZRB-TV-Columbia, WRBJ-TV-Jackson, and WAZE-TV, Evansville.

 

Mr. Filandrinos has served as the Chairman of the Marketing Advisory Committee of the INTV and Chairman of the FOX Affiliate Board of Governors.
